View from a beech tree we pruned in West Didsbury. Only round the corner from my house, in fact. Summer’s on the way. Can you feel it?

This beech tree we dismantled today was infected with Meripilus giganteus which is a common cause of death for mature beech trees.
The fungal infection severely decays the deep roots of trees, making them unstable and prone to blowing over. Lucky it didn’t blow over today!

All the trees are covered in snow. Its bedlam out on the roads. And the phone ain’t ringing.
Its time to go snowboarding.

This elm tree had become unsafe with significant decay to the trunk and a couple of the major branches. This was our last job of the year before Christmas and it was snowing all day!
Merry Christmas to all our customers, suppliers and friends.
Best wishes
Nick
